Motorway tolls

Since 1 January 1997, tolls are payable on motorways and expressways (also city motorways and, since 2000, on the B302 Vienna northern bypass road (Nordrandstraße). The tolls are paid by buying a pass and sticking it to the windscreen or to the front fixed window pane on the left-hand side of the car. For motorcycles, the pass must be properly secured to a permanent and clearly visible part of the motorcycle. Only one Annual Season Pass may be displayed at a time.
